“Singer and songwriter Donna Frost is on a musical journey. She’s made it her life’s work for decades now, having grown up in a musical family and learned instruments from a young age. She’s released a number of critically acclaimed albums and regularly tours throughout the country, but more recently she’s decided to use music as a force for good—working with foundations and organizations to spread positivity through art.”

What People Are Saying About the Latest Albums Quarantine Sessions Volume 1 and 2

“I love your two Quarantine Sessions that teach us that there is a silver lining around these dark times. A pandemic cannot stop the flow of creativity! – K. Connors

“I have known and worked with Donna for better than a decade now and she is, without a doubt, the hardest working person in music. For all of the past decade she has traveled the U.S. solo with better than 200 shows a year. She is a prolific songwriter that delivers a great performance, always. Then along comes COVID and suddenly touring was not possible. She created a live streaming show almost immediately and broadcast the show every Monday night for the entire year. This album is a fresh approach, with 9 songs from the heart. “September Days,” “The Love That Lives in Me,” and the heartfelt “Mama’s Prayers” are three examples of her skillful blend of life’s tales and the emotions that come with them. I am proud to recommend this album.” – Michael Teach, Chicago Acoustic Underground Podcast

“Donna Frost is the real deal….her family history in music is deep, from Elvis to The Four Guys! Donna gives her all in “everything” she does! But she definitely shines with her album The Quarantine Sessions Volume 2.” – N. Pride

“Prolific multi-instrumentalist Donna Frost has a new CD that puts the focus on her rich 12-string guitar sound. No Ukeabilly Mama this time! No Bare Bones with her late collaborator Billy Hancock! There are many sides to Donna, and this new collection of songs teaches us how to enjoy life and how to cope with loss, such as the tragic loss of her mother to Covid. This album is dedicated to her memory. Based in Nashville, Donna has devotees across the USA, and I’m grateful to have become part of her musical family back around 2006, when Roderick Deacey, Todd Walker, Tomy Wright, and I teamed up at The WestSide Cafe and at Brewer’s Alley in Frederick, Maryland, before she started performing at my shows in Virginia. Thank you, Donna, for entertaining and educating us all.” – Ron Goad, board member of the Songwriters Association of Washington, D.C.

“[These] songs about life during the quarantine that come from the heart and speak to the soul. [This is] music that reaches in and pulls out what’s best and true in all of us [and] timeless songs that sparkle with love…” – A. Elrod

“Donna hosted her first living room show in our home (billed as The Party on The Patio Tour – 2003).  That was a fun weekend. When she wasn’t performing, Donna spent time with my family, singing Beatles songs with our two boys, touring the monuments and museums with us, and talking music.  To her fans, Donna is family.

We’ve been friends with Donna for decades and fans of her music for even longer.  She comes from a very impressive musical family, deeply rooted within the rich artistic tapestry that is Nashville (her hometown of Hendersonville is a stone’s throw away from Music City). Growing up, her home was always full of music and singing.

Those in-the-know tune into Donna Frost’s weekly live stream show, a welcoming environment where the overall message is that we are all loved and that everything will be alright.  It is a retreat to a sanctuary of music and stories, a weekly safe space of love and kindness.

The highlight of our Monday’s together was her music.  I could go at length and talk about the songs she performed, and that her fan’s weekly request list at times went on for pages, but the real delight was she used these live streams to share new songs she was working on. Demos and works-in-progress inspired by current events.” – A. Moraso
